It's true! my spelling sucks, and even when I spell check it, most of the time there's a comma or some random quotation in random unneeded spots. Why I thought it would be a BRILLIANT Idea to go to school for medical transcription is beyond me!. perhaps because medical words are longer, and I seem to like to lengthen my words, for instance, I'm the person who will take a simple word like "when" and turn it into wheghn/wehn/wen... why? IDK! So there, they're their... is why I swore not to blog, but here, hear, hair I am :-D
Oh how I miss Washington state! I'm so sure I need to work for an airline to make it somewhat possible to get back there as much as I possibly can!
So lets recap the last two years for anyone who I haven't connected with, and tell a fun little story about how I went from single working mom/ part time Pilates /step instructor, to ending up in Miami on the polar opposite side of the U.S. with chronic "messy artist syndrome."
My son and I were so happy in Washington state. I swore never to leave! in fact this was "one" of "many" reason that prompted a 2 year break with my husband. He is military, was being sent to Kansas, and I was NOT interested in leaving my beautiful green state and awesome life time long girlfriends. Needless to say the poor man eventually swallowed some pride, & came all the way back to visit from that horrid place to beg me to move. I told him, "NO WAY", but in the end, I decided the choice should be up to my 6 yr old son who deserved to be near his daddy. and this would be the opportunity I needed to attend school... long story short, we headed to Kansas with hopeful and self forcing optimistic thoughts.
We arrived in the small town that was right outside the gates of the base he had been stationed. and my heart dropped! this could NOT be what I left my home for!The town was dirty with no charm, most the people I met were grumpy unkind individuals, & his poor little apartment looked like something out of a bad dream. the housing developments didn't have good management, and many things in the apartment were broken and dirty. to make matters worse they wouldn't let him paint, and the walls were pretty bad!
He had 4 pieces of furniture. An old blue recliner that was given to him by a neighbor, a table and chair set and a corner desk which he kept his 40 inch tv. and a computer chair...lovely! I had left all my belongings back in Washington! Ok I admit being a woman I am a small bit guilty of being a diva at times. But my atmosphere can really control how happy I am. and I was already not happy to be there in the first place. so, no job, no budget, and needing a creative way to cover the walls.... thus, my 1st painting since I was @18 was born. In fact, I started painting EVERYTHING! I almost painted the ugly blue recliner, but sold it instead :-D

By the time I was done, Everything in the house was color coordinated, like it was the Barbie dream house! (which is probably where I got the idea subconsciously)
I can't say the whole thing was awful after the fact. I found my long lost creative side, and got my marriage back, which doesn't seem to happen allot these days. (self high five)
We eventually were able to move out of the yukky little town and got an adorable house on post.
I moved to Kansas in October, we got our new place in November, they sent my husband to Iraq in January...So as soon as I had re~found my marital zen, the Army took it away again! I was determined to stick the deployment out in Kansas! there would be no returning home and admitting defeat! even if the people were 90% negativity and 10% jerk! I set out to preoccupy myself during the deployment by working in my garden which spread to doing the gardens of many of my neighbors, and worked on furniture restoration in my Garage, My father just happened to live 2 hours from where we were, & I'd always look forward to visits from him. . I sold my projects on a local army wife trade site. It got me through a very cold wintery year until my husband came home, and I was able to lovingly gaze into his eyes and say, "GET ME THE CRAP OUT OF THIS STATE!"
My husband hadn't yet come up on orders, so he started researching the bases on states, we'd like to live. Florida won! I was SO excited! (Washington? whats that!?)
moving was long and tedious, it took a very long time to get into our new beautiful house, (which kicks the one in Kansasz A**!)
I have lots of crazy adventures from Kansas that guided me to being who I am now. and as crappy as I always say the experience was, it led me down the road towards creativity. Florida has opened up a new venue to my art. it's an exciting adventure that's just begun! but for now we can just say, I lived happily ever
